This is a 1938 Chevy truck that a customer had built in 2000 and was never happy with the way it was put together. It was a chevy crate 383 with a m-21 four speed 9"ford rearend with 4:11 posi. Now our customer is an older hotrodder but the truck just wasn't happy on the highway and his wife wouldn't ride with him so he decided on some upgrades. First the transmission was replaced with a T-56 6speed and a Abbot box to drive the speedo. Wiring was redone and factory dash gauges made to work. Fit and finish was an issue we dealt with for days on end. Dad installed heat and a/c with pull down hidden vents and control panel. The interior was updated with 2006 Dodge Neon seats without the headrests and new carpet was installed after vb sound deadner was applied to all interior surfaces. New kick panels and headliner and new mirrors. Jim had only put on 500 miles before the upgrade and now has over 2500 miles on it in one summer and now his wife is happy to ride along to get ice cream in their quiet and comfortable 38 truck.
